MNHN – CESCO

The Centre d’Ecologie et des Sciences de la Conservation is a joint research unit (UMR 7204) of the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (MNHN), CNRS and Sorbonne-Université. CESCO develops research for biodiversity conservation, mobilizing approaches in ecology and evolution as well as interfaces with the social sciences (political science, management science and psychology). The LIttoral ENvironnement et Sociétés laboratory is a joint interdisciplinary research unit (UMRi 7266 La Rochelle University – CNRS). This interdisciplinary laboratory focuses on sustainable development issues related to the coastline, with a particular emphasis on the functioning of the coastal system, its evolution in a context of global change and increasing urbanization, and its sustainable use and exploitation.

CEFE

The Centre d’Ecologie Fonctionnelle et Evolutive in Montpellier is a joint research unit with four supervisory bodies: the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE), the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) and the Université de Montpellier (UM). Ecology research at CEFE aims to understand the dynamics, functioning and evolution of living organisms, from “bacteria to elephants”, and “from the genome to the planet”.
