Frédéric Jiguet

Frédéric Jiguet

Professor, project leader, ringer
A professor at the MNHN’s Centre for Ecology and Conservation Sciences (CESCO), Frédéric has coordinated all bird ringing activities at national level and is an internationally recognised specialist in the study of bird migration, particularly using telemetry tools. Frédéric is in charge of the telemetry work-package of the MIGRATLANE programme.
Pierrick Bocher

Pierrick Bocher

Professor
Pierrick is a senior researcher at the LIttoral ENvironnement et Sociétés laboratory (LIENSs, Université de la Rochelle) and an expert in the ecology of coastal shorebirds. Among other things, he coordinates the LIMITRACK programme, which uses telemetry to study wintering shorebirds. For MIGRATLANE, Pierrick coordinates the telemetric study of waders and anatidae.
Sophie de Grissac

Sophie de Grissac

Coordinator, researcher, seabird ringer
Sophie is a researcher specialising in seabird ecology, telemetry data analysis and interactions between birds and offshore wind turbines. She coordinates data management and analysis, as well as the fieldwork of the telemetry work-package of the MIGRATLANE programme.
Yannig Coulomb

Yannig Coulomb

Field ornithologist, ringer
An expert ornithologist and CRBPO ringer, Yannig is in charge of the telemetry deployment on birds for the Migratlane programme. He captures, rings and equips seabirds and terrestrial migratory birds (passerines, birds of prey) with geolocation tags, particularly in the Brittany region where he lives.
Fanny Rey

Fanny Rey

Field ornithologist, ringer
A research engineer in ecology and CRBPO bird ringer, Fanny works at the LIENSs (University of La Rochelle) and has been in charge of capturing, ringing and equipping waders, anatidae and land migrants for the Migratlane-telemetry programme since January 2024.
Rose Delacroix

Rose Delacroix

Research engineer, ringer
Expert bird ringer, Rose was in charge of capturing, ringing and equipping birds with geolocation devices until february 2024. She worked at the LIENSs, especially on shorebirds.
Antoine Chabrolle

Antoine Chabrolle

Seabird fieldwork support
An ornithologist specialising in seabirds, Antoine is the coordinator of the interest group on seabirds (GISOM) and the French seabird studies network (RESOM). He is involved in the work-package 3 (acoustic monitoring) of the MIGRATLANE programme and is helping to organise the fieldwork for the work-package 2 Telemetry.
David Grémillet

David Grémillet

Seabird researcher
Full professor at the CEFE, research center in Functionnal ecology and evolution in Montpellier, David supports the fieldwork and co-supervises the research on seabirds for MIGRATLANE’s telemetry workpackage.
Léo Denoual

Léo Denoual

Research ingineer
A research engineer in ecology, Léo works at LIENSs (University of La Rochelle), and has been in charge of analysing telemety data on terrestrial migratory birds for the MIGRATLANE programme since October 2024. He is particularly interested in the characteristics of migratory flights when crossing marine areas, as well as the effects of weather conditions...
Marie Fretin

Marie Fretin

Field ornithologist, ringer
Field ornithologist, professionnal bird ringer Since 2025, she participates in fieldwork missions to catch, ring and equip birds for several research programmes lead by the Museum : MIGRATLANE, Habitrack and ESOD.
Paul Doniol-Valcroze

Paul Doniol-Valcroze

Postdoctoral researcher
A post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation Sciences (CESCO), Paul is in charge of analysing migration data obtained from the installation of multi-sensor GLS (geolocation photometers) on the smallest bird species: passerines and related species. An experimented bird ringer, he also helps ponctually the fieldwork team.
Ruth Dunn

Ruth Dunn

Postdoctoral researcher
Ruth is a postdoctoral researcher who enjoys researching the movement ecology and energetics of seabirds. She is currently analysing marine bird tracking data collected as part of the telemetry work package of the MIGRATLANE programme at the Center for functionnal ecology and evolution (CEFE) in Montpellier.
Lucie Foucart

Lucie Foucart

Master research internship
Lucie is in her 2nd year of the RAINET Masters (Applied Research to Conserve Biodiversity) at the University of Montpellier. She is doing her internship within the MAD team (Movement, Abundance, Distribution) at the Centre d’Ecologie Fonctionnelle et Evolutive (CEFE). She aims at describing the movements at sea, behaviour and ecology of wintering diving seabird...
